Precautions Against Communicable Disease
Meaningful care is designed to center those among us who are, or live with others who are immunocompromised, disabled, aging, recovering, or otherwise more vulnerable to communicable diseases. Masking provides group protection against viral illness and can show solidarity among attendees. The conference planning committee will review COVID-19 case numbers prior to the event and may require that all in-person attendees wear masks at the conference. If you are registering to attend in-person, please be prepared to wear a mask at the conference. We will communicate with all attendees about the mask policy at least two weeks prior to the conference.
Please note that if masks are required, we will do our best to accommodate those who read lips. During the registration process, you will have the opportunity to request accommodations related to this.
We encourage all in-person attendees to take a COVID-19 test within a few days prior to the conference. If you test positive or have any symptoms, please do not attend in-person. You are welcome to attend the conference online. Please note we cannot offer refunds for those who cannot attend in person due to illness.
The conference planning committee also plans to limit the number of people in each room to about half the room’s capacity, and aims to have hand sanitizer and masks available for in-person attendees.
