About the 2024 Event
Stay tuned for information about the conference coming in spring 2026!
2SLGBTQ+ Meaningful Care Conference
Our mission for the conference is to center the lived-experiences of those accessing care, while challenging ourselves to uplift marginalized voices. As a part of that ongoing commitment, for 2024 we partnered with Black & Beyond the Binary Collective (B3C). Black & Beyond the Binary Collective builds the leadership, healing, and safety for transgender, queer, nonbinary, two-spirit, and intersex (TQN2SI+) Oregonians with a focus on Black & Indigenous identities. We envision a future that gives power back to our communities, celebrates self-expression, and preserves dignity, and joy; a future that can center Black queer and Trans communities living fully liberated lives.
The day-long conference seeks to:
Promote Two Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex + culturally responsive health care and social services by uplifting marginalized voices and centering lived-experience
Take an intersectional approach to addressing multi-level health disparities
Share updated promising and evidence-based applications of 2SLGBTQ+ culturally responsive health care
Develop and diversify networks of 2SLGBTQ+ culturally responsive health care and social service providers
Move past equality and equity to center lived-experience, systems-change, and justice
Be change-based, with community leading the way on challenging systems
The 2024 conference theme is…
Surviving and Thriving: Beyond Resilience.
